What’s the difference between a MUSEUM plaque and a MOUNTED Plaque?
A MOUNTED Plaque takes your image ... processes it in our liquid crystal, it’s than taken by hand and it’s bonded to your choice of a brushed brass or brushed stainless steel look pre frame, before finally chemically attached to a hand rubbed wooden plaque that is 8 X 11 inches. The actual wooden plaque is beveled in the same color as the plaque. It is custom built for you.

The MUSEUM plaques are custom created from scratch. The wood is cut and beveled, your image is pressed under tons of pressure and only than is the entire front of the plaque coated with our liquid crystal process. Museum plaques come in a variety of base colors and 3 trim color choices. (please visit the products page to see all the choices.) 
What base color choices are available?
Refer to our product page for selections of both trim and base colors.
The best way we have found to make the best decision on colors is to think of where you will hang the plaque and the colors in the actual image. Once you’ve given that some thought the best solution usually presents itself.
How do I send you my picture?
You have 2 choices.
- 1.) Email- you can send the image by email in a jpg format with a resolution of at least 300 dpi with a printed size of 8.5 X 11 inches. This can be done by a wide variety of picture software or sometimes directly from your digital camera.

- 2.) Regular Mail – please send the actual print to Horse-Memories.com Att Graphics Dept., 27 Tanglewood Dr, Norwich CT 06360 The print needs to be at least 4 X 5 inches in size. Sorry based on the volume of images we get, we don’t normally return the print to you.
If I send you an actual printed picture, will I get it back?
Our standard policy is to NOT return the print. However if it is important to you we can certainly make arrangements to accommodate you.
What sizes do the plaques come in?
MOUNTED Plaques are 8 X 11 inch size only.
The standard size for MUSEUM plaques is an 8.5 X 11 inch image with the overall plaque size of approximately 12.5 X 15.75 inches.
The standard border around the image on a Museum plaque is 2 inches of border on the top, 2 inches of border on the left and right and 3 inches of border on the bottom. This is our standard plaque size on all images we receive.
We can create a custom MUSEUM plaque up to a 500 square inch image size. Please drop me a note to discuss special requests and prices. john@horse-memories.com
How can I clean my plaque?
It’s best to use window cleaner and a soft, non abrasive cloth. The liquid crystal is similar to the coating you find on your prescription eyewear. SO please be careful cleaning so you don’t scratch or mar the surface.
How long will it take before I receive my little masterpiece?
Production times vary. Usually it's created with care in 7 days or less.
If I love my plaque can I get more than one?
Absolutely - many of our clients have more than one home or office. In some cases quantity discounts may be available.
Is this really a lifetime UV (ultra violet lite) protected guarantee?
Yes ... absolutely your "horse-memories plaque” is protected with a lifetime UV protection guarantee.
What if my plaque arrives damaged or I am not satisfied?
If your plaque(s) arrive damaged or if you are not satisfied please keep the original packaging and contact me right away at john@horse-memories.com .
We will make it right.
